Quartz and Agate Geode (unpolished)

When a rock is split open, it reveals much more than its outer appearance suggests. This specimen, known as an Agate and Quartz Geode containing opal, originates from the Richardson Ranch bedrock. Both halves of the geode are included with your purchase, offering a complete view of its natural formation.

To enhance the luster of a geode like this, gently apply a small amount of mineral oil or hairspray, both readily available at drugstores. Use a soft cloth to evenly rub the product onto the surface. For a more refined finish, consider having the geode professionally polished. To clean a newly found geode, simply wash it with soapy water using a spray bottle.
